General Insurance Corporation of India has announced that the Ministry of Finance conveyed that the Department of Financial Services has decided to assign the additional charge for the post of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC-Re) to Shri Uday Laxmandas Devi, CVO, Oriental Insurance Corporation Limited, in addition to his current assignment with effect from December 29, 2025, up to the period the CVC convey their decision on the transfer request of CVO, OICL or for a period of three months or till further orders, whichever is earlier. Shri Uday Laxmandas Devi holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree. He is a CMA from Institute of Cost Accountant of India and CAIIB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).
He has an experience of over 32 + years in Banking, Risk Management, Corporate Credit and Treasury. He is currently holding the position of CVO in Oriental Insurance Corporation Limited.
