(Alliance News) - Assicurazioni Generali Spa announced on Thursday that it has appointed Luca Cetrano as the group's new Chief Investment Officer, effective June 1.

Cetrano will report to General Manager Marco Sesana and will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and monitoring all investment activities related to the group's insurance portfolios.

The new CIO joined Generali Investments in 2012, where he held roles of increasing responsibility. In 2021, he became Head of Portfolio Construction and Tactical Asset Allocation at Generali and, more recently, expanded his scope of responsibility to include Strategic Asset Allocation and the group holding company's investment portfolio.

Assicurazioni Generali shares were down 0.1% at EUR38.82 per share.
