--Germany is set to green-light the purchase of defense equipment valued at more than 3 billion euros ($3.47 billion), including a further 20 military helicopters from Airbus, Bloomberg reports, citing a government document.

--The deals set to be approved by lawmakers this week also include a roughly 1 billion euro order for 100,000 night-vision goggles from German manufacturer Hensoldt and London-listed Theon International, Bloomberg says.

--Germany's defense ministry is also looking to put in a 1.2 billion euro order for IRIS-T SLM air-defense guided missiles made by Diehl, according to Bloomberg.
