Google LLC entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Wiz, Inc. for $32 billion on March 18, 2025. The transaction is in an all-cash transaction and the purchase price is subject to closing adjustments. Upon the closing of the acquisition, Wiz will become part of the Google Cloud segment.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. The acquisition of Wiz is expected to close in 2026. As of June 13, 2025 Google has agreed to pay Wiz a massive $3.2 billion fee if regulators ultimately block the deal. As of October 24, 2025, the Federal Trade Commission approved the transaction. According to the announcement dated January 8, 2026, the European Commission's decision regarding approval is expected by February 10, 2026.
