Eli Lilly continued its recent buying spree, agreeing to pay up to $2.3 billion for Ajax Therapeutics in a deal that bolsters the drugmaker's blood-cancer portfolio.

India's Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has agreed to acquire the U.S.-listed healthcare company Organon in a deal valuing the company at $11.75 billion, positioning the Indian drugmaker as one of the top three global players in women's health.
