Henry Schein has hired Frederick Lowery as the healthcare products and services company's next chief, plucking the executive from life-sciences giant Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Henry Schein on Monday said Lowery, who has been executive vice president and president of laboratory products and bioproduction at Thermo Fisher since April 2024, will join the Melville, N.Y., company as chief executive on March 2 to succeed Stanley Bergman, who has been at the helm since 1989.

Bergman, who last year announced plans to retire as CEO, will remain chairman, and Lowery will join the board, Henry Schein said.

Lowery will receive an annual base salary of $1.25 million and an annual bonus with a target of at least 150% of his base pay, the company said.
