The Swiss unit of HSBC Holdings appointed a new CEO. As of April 27, Alfonso Gomez will take over as CEO. He had been with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) (BBVA.MC) for more than 31 years.

Since last October, CFO Daniel Calado has been leading HSBC Swiss Private Bank on an interim basis.
