Infineon Technologies said the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled in its favor in a patent case against Chinese company Innoscience.
The German chip maker said the commission preliminarily found that Innoscience violated Infineon's patent related to gallium nitride technology for the production of semiconductors.
Infineon said the commission is expected to issue a final determination on April 2, which could lead to an import ban of Innoscience's allegedly infringing products into the United States if the preliminary decision is upheld.
Innoscience didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The company had previously denied Infineon's infringement allegations.
