Web host and cloud provider Ionos wants to make it easier for German SMEs to use artificial intelligence (AI).

To this end, the subsidiary of internet provider United Internet presented the "Momentum" platform on Tuesday, which bundles various AI programs. With the help of these assistants, everyday tasks such as scheduling, customer service, and marketing can be automated.

"You can think of Momentum as an intelligent control center for the entire company, through which all digital processes can be controlled in the future, regardless of size or technical expertise," said Ionos CEO Achim Weiß. The AI runs on Ionos' German cloud computers, which meet domestic data protection requirements.

German data center operators have been increasingly courting customers who want to become more independent from non-European technology providers. Ionos, for example, offers an alternative to Microsoft's Office software in collaboration with the German software company Nextcloud. Deutsche Telekom recently officially unveiled its plans for an industrial AI cloud.
