:: Israel says it will continue striking targets in Iran and Lebanon until all its goals are met

:: Brigadier General Effie Defrin, Israeli army spokesperson

"We have an orderly, well-planned combat strategy. We have thousands more targets in Iran, and we generate additional targets every day. The regime is already weakened, and we continue to weaken it more and more each day."

"The entire IDF is prepared and determined to complete the mission and remove the threats facing the State of Israel. We will continue to strike in Iran and against Hezbollah until we remove the threats and achieve the objectives of the operation."

"As a military, we do not have the goal of toppling a regime. We do not overthrow regimes. We do, however, create the conditions and undermine it so that, over time, the Iranian people will take their fate into their own hands and reclaim this country, which has been taken hostage by this terror regime."

Defrin said Israel military does not aim to topple governments but to 'create the conditions' for the people of Iran to 'recalim their country'.

U.S. officials responding to economic uncertainty over high oil prices predicted on Sunday that the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran would end within weeks and that a drop in energy costs would follow, despite Iran's assertion that it remains "stable and strong" and ready to defend itself.

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened more strikes on Iran's main oil export hub Kharg Island over the weekend and said he was not ready to reach a deal to end the war which has shut off the vital Strait of Hormuz and shaken up global energy markets.
