Release Date: 2026/03/11

A research group from the University of Tokyo published the results of three-dimensional structural analysis using JEOL's GRAND ARM™electron microscope in "Nature Communications". By quantitatively and statistically analyzing the intensity of atomic-resolution electron microscope images, the three-dimensional atomic and dynamic structures of platinum nanoparticles supported on an oxide substrate were revealed. These results are expected to provide new guidelines for catalyst design and accelerate the development of high-performance catalysts.
