Investment firm Kinnevik has appointed Helena Saxon as its new CEO, effective August 1. She succeeds acting CEO Rubin Ritter.
Helena Saxon served as Chief Financial Officer at Investor between 2015 and 2024 and currently sits on the boards of H&M and Novo Nordisk. According to Chairman Cristina Stenbeck, Kinnevik will henceforth focus on a more concentrated European portfolio, targeting investments in late-stage growth companies.
'The Board's agenda is clear: Kinnevik's portfolio will become more concentrated, more European, and more focused on late-stage growth companies. We have already made it clear that we will be highly disciplined regarding follow-on investments. We are safeguarding our cash position, which over time will be bolstered by returns from the existing portfolio. We also continue to work with our portfolio companies to maximize each firm's potential and drive positive development. We will primarily invest in profitable, cash-flow-generating growth companies where growth capital is scarce and where we can build successful and sustainable businesses across generations', says Stenbeck.
