International stocks trading in New York closed mixed Tuesday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.5% to 139.31. The European index decreased 0.1% to 131.63, the Asian index fell 1.3% to 165.83, the Latin American index increased 0.5% to 191.55 and the emerging markets index decreased 0.9% to 284.42.

AstraZeneca PLC and InterContinental Hotels Group PLC were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of AstraZeneca rose 1.2% after initial trial results of datopotamab deruxtecan-based combinations showed promising clinical activity in patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.

ADRs of InterContinental Hotels Group rose 1% after the company said it would launch a share-buyback program of up to $500 million following a rise in first-half profit.

ADRs of Coca-Cola HBC AG fell 0.6% after it said it would acquire the Three Cents premium-mixer product brand from Ideal Holdings S.A. for an enterprise value of 45 million euro ($45.9 million).
