International stocks trading in New York closed mixed on Thursday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts was flat at 141.68. The European index decreased 0.5% to 132.52, the Asian index rose 1% to 171.49, the Latin American index dropped 0.5% to 193.92, and the emerging markets index increased 0.8% to 292.51.

Noah Holdings Ltd. and Aegon NV were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of Noah Holdings climbed 19% after the company said Wednesday that it would pursue a dual-primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

ADRs of Aegon NV rose 8.7% after the Dutch insurance, pensions and asset-management company lifted its cumulative free-cash-flow guidance for 2021-23 to at least 2.2 billion euros ($2.27 billion) from the previous forecast of EUR1.4 billion to EUR1.6 billion. Aegon also raised its 2022 operating capital generation guidance to EUR1.4 billion.

ADRs of Sibanye-Stillwater Ltd. fell 1.4% after the company said it launched a new operational plan for its U.S. platinum group metals operations in response to the macro environment. It expects production to grow to 700,000 ounces by 2027.
