Volkswagen in talks to settle the diesel scandal. Volkswagen said today that it was in talks with the Federation of German Consumer Associations, VZBV, to reach an agreement in connection with the now infamous "dieselgate". Volkswagen is accused of having used various fraudulent techniques to minimize the polluting emissions of some of its cars during tests between 2009 and 2015.

Apple has some imagination. Imagination Technologies announced a new multi-year license agreement with Apple. The latter will have access to a broader range of Imagination's intellectual property than in the past in exchange for licensing rights. This comes almost three years after Apple’s decision to end a previous agreement between the two. Last month, Imagination launched a new generation of its mobile GPU architecture.

Airbus is the new leader. Airbus has delivered 863 aircraft in 2019, 7.9% more than in 2018. It has now overtaken Boeing the position of the world's leading aircraft manufacturer, according to various reports.

Plastic Omnium announced the appointment of two new managing directors. On January 1, 2020, Stéphane Noël and Christian Kopp are appointed respectively Chief Executive Officer of the Intelligent Exterior Systems business and Chief Executive Officer of the Clean Energy Systems business at Plastic Omnium.

AMS’s takeover bid successful so far. AMS announced today that it holds 59.9% of Osram's share capital following its takeover bid and said it expects to complete the takeover of the German group in the second quarter of 2020.
