Statement of Artem Filipyev, Deputy CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, regarding the request of PMGU trade Union to the Supervisory Board

- The company does not agree with the requirements of the trade union of employees working in steelmaking and mining industry (PO PMGU). This document was signed solely by the chairman of PMGU, Natalia Marinyuk, and represents only a subjective assessment. During all 15 years of ArcelorMittal operation in Ukraine, we have been fully complying with the requirements of Company Collective Agreement. If necessary, the company is ready to defend its position in court.

On May 1, salary of all employees was increased, and earlier "the 13th salary" was paid as a bonus. According to last year results, we invested $ 14.1 million in labor and occupational safety, and $ 296.3 million in production development. Despite all the difficulties of working amid the pandemic, the company fulfills all its commitments to employees, local community, and the country by means of significant tax payments amounting to billions of hryvnias.

Whilst, in a text of PMGU request, its chairman, in fact, demands to cancel the salary increase that has already come into force for all company employees.

Once again, we appeal to trade unions to immediately start a meaningful dialogue, regarding further improvement of social guarantees for our employees as well. We strongly believe that those trade unions that really defend employees' interests, rather than fulfilling own political ambitions, will continue to jointly discuss issues that are important for all employees.
