Santo Domingo, May 11, 2021.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dominican Development Foundation (FDD) on Wednesday to promote joint training and mentoring activities in the area of business and entrepreneurship for businesspeople, entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MIPYMEs) in the Dominican Republic with the Dominican Development Foundation (FDD).
Among other actions, the agreement will make it possible to join forces and establish common standards of action to enable national, regional and international coordination.

'We are pleased with the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding since, from now on, both entities will join efforts to train and advise the labor force of the Dominican Republic and our region at a key moment such as the one we are going through,' said CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi.

He added that the initiative is in line with CABEI's strategic axis related to 'Human Development and Social Inclusion', through which social capacities are generated to achieve the objective of improving the wellbeing and quality of life of the Central American region.

The FDD was founded in 1966 and since its creation to date has made numerous contributions to the country, aimed at catalyzing development, mainly through the granting of microcredits, technical assistance and financial education to microentrepreneurs, many of whom have presided over the FDD.
