That after the band's leader sparked uproar in China.

RM, as he is known, made public comments about the Korean War of the 1950s.

That pitted the U.S. and South Korea against China and North Korea.

RM spoke of how the U.S. and the South shared a "history of pain".

The comments sparked fury from Chinese social media users, including calls for BTS to make no money in the country.

The corporate response was seemingly swift.

Posts featuring Samsung's BTS special edition phones disappeared from Chinese e-commerce sites like Tmall and JD.com.

BTS-related posts from other brands including sportswear firm FILA and carmaker Hyundai also vanished.

It wasn't clear if the companies, or someone else, removed the social media posts, and the firms did not reply to requests for comment.

There was silence too from the band's management company, Big Hit Entertainment.

It's currently preparing for an October 15 debut on the stock market.
