The training started with the major rivers of China and Malaysia, and taught the students vocabulary, common conversations and cultural stories related to hydropower stations. Students listened carefully and interacted enthusiastically in the learning process. "It's quite difficult to communicate in Chinese, even though I have some pinyin skills", said Aatif, a Pakistani who is the Project's Human Resources Manager. "I am very grateful to the Project Department and the Confucius Institute for providing me with such a convenient opportunity to learn Chinese. More importantly, what I learnt in class is closely related to my work and life, which is very practical."
