On November 17, local time, Richard Malinga, representative of the African Development Bank, and relevant persons in charge of the Namibian Railway Infrastructure Department visited the Namibian Railway Repair Project undertaken by CGGC to comprehensively learn about the construction progress of the Project. During the inspection, Richard Malinga affirmed the construction progress of the main line of the Project and the safety, quality and environmental protection management, and highly praised the spirit of "working hard and overcoming difficulties" of the staff of CGGC International. He pointed out that the Project Department had actively discussed and scientifically formulated the construction plan and schedule of the "Railway occupation", and effectively guaranteed the construction safety and schedule of such period through the standardization of working procedure, equipment use and safety, quality and environmental protection monitoring during the whole process. During bridge construction, the Project Department has done a good job in safety and technical disclosure work, overcome the technical problems in construction, and the safety, quality and environmental protection work met the requirements of the Project.

Richard Malinga and his delegation also gained an in-depth understanding of the safety and health status of the project construction staff and various epidemic prevention measures, and highly appreciated the vaccination of all the staff in the Project and the epidemic prevention achievements made.

The Namibian Railway Repair Project is a traffic artery and "economic artery" connecting inland cities of Namibia and its borders to Walvis Bay, which is of great economic significance to facilitate cross-border trade. By November 17, 35km of main line upgrade construction has been completed, and the current monthly construction progress rate can reach 6.9km/month. All pile foundations of the Swakopmund Bridge have been drilled and concreted, the foundation pit excavation of the pile caps has been completed, the pile heads have been demolished and the pile caps have been laid. At present, the reinforcement binding and formwork erection are in progress.

Now, the Project Department is seizing the construction opportunity of "shut occupation" from November 18 to 22, comprehensively setting off a new climax of labor competition of "working hard for the fourth quarter and sprinting for the overall goal", striving to complete the main line upgrade construction of A1S1 Section as soon as possible, and laying a solid foundation for the completion of the Project on schedule.
