Canada May wholesale trade most likely rose 1.1% - Statscan flash estimate

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canadian wholesale trade most likely rose by 1.1% in May over April led by higher sales in the machinery, equipment and supplies subsector, Statistics Canada said in a flash estimate on Thursday.

In April, wholesale trade gained 0.4%.

The estimated was calculated based on a weighted response rate of 62.2%. The average final response rate for the survey over the past 12 months has been 88.5%.
