BEIJING (Reuters) - China has certified its homegrown narrowbody C19 jet, state media reported on Friday.

The first C919, designed to rival single-aisle jets made by Airbus and Boeing, will be delivered by end of 2022.

State-owned Xinhua News Agency also said President Xi Jinping met with a C919 delegation on Friday in Beijing, ahead of the country's National Day on Saturday.
