Communications services companies fell as investors braced for another round of lockdowns.
Shares of Walt Disney, which had surged on Monday's report of vaccine progress, fell sharply amid fears that its theme parks may have to shut down again before the vaccine becomes widely available. Disney shares rallied after the bell, however, when it reported a slimmer than anticipated quarterly loss.
Cellnex Telecom said it has reached an agreement to acquire CK Hutchison Holdings' European tower businesses and assets for an initial investment of about 10 billion euros ($11.78 billion).
