Pending home sales fell the most on record in October, with deal cancellations and price cuts also hitting records, according to real-estate Web site Redfin. The report followed the latest in a long streak of negative home-sales data last week.

J.M. Smucker shares rose after the maker of condiments boosted its profit projection for the year. Domino's Pizza is investing in electric vehicles in an attempt to redress driver shortages.
