Acquisition welcomes nearly 100 colleagues, strengthening vertical market expertise and client servicing capabilities

Convergint, a global leader in service-based systems integration, today announced the acquisition of Universal Security Systems, a European security systems integrator headquartered in London, with offices in Pohjoisesplanadi, Finland, and Copenhagen, Denmark. This acquisition follows several growth initiatives for Convergint across the European market, bolstering its global footprint, deepening vertical market expertise, and enabling the company to meet increased demand across several markets.

With over thirty years of industry experience, Universal Security Systems (USS) specializes as a security technology integrator in designing, installing, and supporting converged security solutions. The company's portfolio includes network-based security systems, enterprise access control, and intruder detection systems across several vertical markets, including financial, education, government, and data centers. USS prides itself on being at the forefront of innovation, embracing new technologies to enhance clients' performance, reliability, and efficiency. With a strong track record of completing complex, multi-site, and international projects for key marquee customers, the company remains committed to investing in its culture, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class customer service.

“We are thrilled to be embarking on this new journey together. Universal Security Systems shares a similar service-first vision, in alignment with Convergint’s longstanding Values and Beliefs. As a result of this acquisition, nearly 100 colleagues will join Convergint, where they'll continue to foster a diverse, inclusive, colleague-driven culture and deliver unmatched value to their customers across the European market.

"In the past thirty years, we have built an incredible reputation across the European market with strong client retention," said Paul Mangham, Founder of Universal Security Systems. "As we move forward, we remain committed to delivering the best solutions, installation, and servicing possible. The combined knowledge and innovation from both companies will undoubtedly bring immense value to our customer base."

"It's an exciting time for our company, and what we've built in the past thirty years couldn't have been possible without the support of our colleagues and customers," said James Crouch, Founder of Universal Security Systems. "Companies today are not only looking for innovative solutions but consistency in the way services are delivered, something Universal and Convergint strongly align on. We couldn't be more excited to be joining Convergint, a person-first company with a big vision toward the future."
