FTSE 100 Poised to Rise After Asia, US Gains

0641 GMT - The FTSE 100 Index looks set to open 42 points higher at 7278, according to IG futures data, after upbeat trading in Asia and a higher close on Wall Street. Markets in Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan all gain and the Dow closed 0.6% ahead Monday. Brent crude rises 0.3% to $92.28 a barrel. "Yesterday's late rebound in the U.S. looks set to translate into a positive start for European markets later this morning," CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson says in a note.
