FTSE 100 Seen Opening Slightly Higher

0740 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open slightly higher after a strong close on Wall Street on Friday. IG futures data show the London index of blue-chip stocks opening 5 points higher. Financial markets appear to have "rising conviction" that central banks are on the cusp of a significant pivot on monetary policy sometime later this year, CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson writes. "As we look ahead to a new week, the main focus will once again be on the U.S. economy and this week's fourth-quarter gross domestic product numbers, as well as the December core personal consumption expenditures deflator inflation numbers, which are due on Thursday and Friday."
