Florida governor warns Ian may deliver significant disruptions

09/25/2022 | 05:49pm EST

STORY: "Make preparations now. And I know a lot of people have been doing it throughout the state of Florida and the things you should be prepared with are things like food, water," DeSantis said on Sunday.

Tropical Storm Ian was on Sunday barreling toward western Cuba, where it is expected to soak the Caribbean island with heavy rainfall and trigger storm surges as it turns into a hurricane on Monday, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm could begin hitting southern Florida late on Monday or Tuesday morning.
