GENEVA (ILO News) - The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch its annual report "Global Employment Trends 2014" on Wednesday 22 January.

The study offers the latest global and regional information and projections on several indicators of the labour market, including employment, unemployment, working poverty and vulnerable employment.

It also presents a number of policy considerations in light of the new challenges facing policy makers in the coming year.

Embargoed electronic copies of the report, executive summary and some associated media material will be made available to journalists upon request, starting on Friday 17January, by contacting the ILO Newsroom (newsroom@ilo.org) or the Department of Communication and Public Information at +4122/799-7912.

For Geneva correspondents: A press briefing by ILO Director-General Guy Ryder will be held, under embargo, on Monday 20 January at 10 a.m. in press room III at the Palais des Nations.

The report and all associated material and information are embargoed until 00:01 GMT on Wednesday 22 January.

Interviews by print, web or broadcast media can be scheduled via the ILO Department of Communication.
