STOCKS:

The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 327.13 points, or 0.55%, to 58,758.3, while the broader NSE index lost 89.4 points, or 0.51%, to 17,515.55 ahead of the expiry of monthly derivative contracts in a highly volatile session. Adani Ports and Bajaj Finance were the top losers on the Nifty 50 index. [.BO]

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee weakened 0.09% against the greenback to 79.88 as oil importers sought the dollar. [INR/]

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

Benchmark 10-year bonds were quoted at 94.94 rupees, with yields up 1 bps at 7.2929. The yield has risen 11 basis points in the last five sessions, tracking U.S. peers. [IN/]

OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:

The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 1 bps at 6.23%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed at 6.38%.

CALL MONEY/REPOS:

India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at 5.25% against 5.20% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate was at 5.48%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 5.1826%.
