TOKYO(Reuters) - Japanese household spending dropped 1.3% in October from a year earlier, government data showed on Friday.

That compared with the median market forecast for a 2.6% decline.

On a seasonally adjusted, month-on-month basis, spending increased 2.9%, versus an estimated 0.4% uptick.
