Throughout the month of February, Avalon Grille, which serves elevated casual cuisine with Avalon Bay views, and Harbor Reef Restaurant in Two Harbors, home of Catalina’s original Buffalo Milk, are offering three-course Leap Year menus that include soup or salad, choice of entrée, and dessert for $29. On February 29, this special menu will be available for $2.29 to those born on Leap Day. Photo ID showing proof of birthday is required.

On February 29, Descanso Beach Club, Catalina’s only beachfront restaurant and bar, is offering a complimentary entrée to anyone born on Leap Day. Additionally on February 29, the Club’s renowned Tricia’s Nachos will be available to everyone for $2.29.

“Our $129 Leap Year hotel special represents a significant savings over our already low winter season rates,” said Randall Herrel, president and chief executive office of Catalina Island Company. “And if you’re lucky enough to be born on February 29, you can enjoy outstanding dining experiences at three of Catalina’s most popular restaurants for less than a cup of coffee.”

Newly renovated in 2019, historic Hotel Atwater honors the Wrigley family legacy with nostalgic elements throughout the hotel, from bud vases filled with fragrant carnations to evening wine receptions in the hotel lobby, tributes to Helen Atwater Wrigley’s love of flowers and glass of bubbly she enjoyed every evening before bed. Guests at Hotel Atwater also enjoy a hot breakfast buffet, Discover the Casino Tour, use of bicycles and more.

From its prime location just 14 steps from the sand, Pavilion Hotel offers resort-style amenities much the same as Hotel Atwater, including a hot breakfast buffet, evening wine reception in the hotel’s landscaped courtyard, Discover the Casino Tour, use of bicycles and more.

Banning House Lodge on Catalina’s west end offers guests a quiet escape overlooking Two Harbors. Amenities at this historic west end property include continental breakfast, evening wine & cheese, and transportation to and from the pier.
