London Stocks Seen Opening Lower; BP in Focus

0757 GMT - The FTSE 100 index is expected to open around 18 points lower, according to IG, having closed Monday at 7288.62, tracking falls in many Asian stock indexes and amid caution ahead of central bank decisions in the U.S. on Wednesday and the U.K. on Thursday. "Today is the lull before the storm, with a largely empty economic calendar paving the way for a raft of economic and central bank announcements in the remainder of the week," IG says. Oil major BP will be in focus after 3Q earnings, reporting a rise in underlying replacement cost profit which beat expectations, while Flutter Entertainment will also be watched after reporting results.
