The beauty of sustainable mobility with Maserati to the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Modena - Rome, Italy - 14 June 2021 - Beauty and sustainable mobility will travel on board with Maserati to the Italian Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. The sponsorship with Maserati will enrich the story of our Country and its wonders to an international audience visiting the Italian Pavilion during the six months of Expo - the first major global post-pandemic event - promoting those values of development and sustainable mobility that characterize its participation in the Exhibition.

Maserati builds on its roots to reinterpret the values of its territory through technological innovation and unique design: innovation, passion and Italian-ness are the event's guiding concepts, linked within the theme of 'Il Saper fare Made in Italy' (Made in Italy know-how).

Maserati's presence at Expo 2020 Dubai is testimony to how values of innovation, style and passion can provide the driver for the renewal of an entire country. All the new Maserati models will be developed, engineered and built 100% in Italy, and will adopt hybrid and battery electric propulsion systems delivering all the innovation and outstanding performance typical of the Brand's DNA.

Maserati CEO Davide Grasso commented:' For our Brand, this is a time to build our tomorrow and, powered by passion, we have marked the start of a new Era, we have ignited the spark of electrification and we have projected ourselves into the future. The core values of Made in Italy - inventive genius and the ability to evolve and renew without forgetting its DNA - are intrinsic to Maserati. And we are honoured to partner Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai. '

Paolo Glisenti, Commissioner for Italy's participation at Expo Dubai, commented: 'Maserati is synonymous worldwide with design and beauty, an area in which Italian excellence is the result of multidisciplinary expertise ranging from research to manufacturing, from universities to factories. Today, in Modena, with our partner Maserati and as part of our collaboration with Emilia Romagna, we are starting up the engines of Italian beauty that unites people. Here, looking ahead to Expo 2020 Dubai, we are celebrating the automotive industry's recovery following the pandemic, embracing a strong internationalisation drive that firmly links tradition and innovation towards the sustainable mobility of the future.'

The spirit of the new Maserati Era is brought to Dubai: a strong message of Italian energy and excellence typical of our Motor Valley, an area that has made Italy great in the eyes of the world, and established Maserati as a protagonist.

There was no better place than the historic plant, recently updated to house production of the new MC20, to underline the Trident Brand's Made in Italy status all over the world.

Attendees at the today's ceremony included Davide Grasso, CEO of Maserati, Paolo Glisenti, Italy's Commissioner General for Expo 2020 Dubai, and Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, Mayor of Modena.
