Monica De La Cruz wins Republican primary in more competitive Texas district- AP

(Reuters) - Monica De La Cruz, a business owner endorsed by former President Donald Trump and House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, won the crowded Republican primary for Texas' 15th congressional district, AP said on Tuesday.

She will face off against the Democratic candidate in November for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in a formerly narrowly Democratic district that was redrawn during redistricting to be more favorable to Republicans.
