Netflix/Chappelle protest about 'accountability' not 'cancel culture'

Ashlee Marie Preston, an activist who organized the event, told the crowd, "This isn't an instance of cancel culture, because I've invited Dave Chappelle to have transformative dialogue with us on multiple occasions, and he has made it clear that it is not of interest to him. So... this isn't cancel culture, but an avoidance of accountability."

Hours before the walkout on Wednesday morning, a Netflix spokesman said in a statement: "We respect the decision of any employee who chooses to walk out, and recognize we have much more work to do both within Netflix and in our content."
