WASHINGTON-Former President Donald Trump doesn't need to weigh in on whether the FBI's inventory of items taken from Mar-a-Lago is accurate, a federal judge said on Thursday, overruling the court-appointed arbiter overseeing a review of the seized documents.

In a written order, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida said Mr. Trump isn't obligated to lodge any objections to the accuracy of the revised inventory provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation earlier this week.

Six States Sue to Block Biden Student Debt Cancellation Plan

Six states sued the Biden administration on Thursday over its mass student debt cancellation plan, citing harms to state higher education lending programs and reduced tax revenues.

Republican attorneys general in Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, South Carolina and Kansas, and an attorney representing Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, also a Republican, filed suit on behalf of their states in federal court in Missouri. The states are seeking the relief now since the Biden administration has indicated it will start rolling out the debt cancellation program in early October, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said.
