WASHINGTON, October 18 - Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Luhut Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment, Indonesia.

President Malpass complimented Minister Pandjaitan on Indonesia's COVID-19 response efforts and commended the Minister for Indonesia's good vaccination progress.

President Malpass reiterated the World Bank Group's support for Indonesia's National Mangrove Program and thanked Minister Pandjaitan for his leadership on conservation, restoration, and biodiversity issues.

President Malpass and Minister Pandjaitan also discussed issues pertaining to carbon pricing, climate change, and energy transition in the leadup to COP26.
