Real Estate Express : Introduces Livestream Pre-licensing Courses in Texas

09/14/2021 | 10:06am EDT

Real Estate Express, the national leader in online pre-licensing real estate education, today announced the release of livestream pre-licensing courses in Texas. Through livestream courses, students learn in a virtual classroom setting from any device, live and in real time.

“Livestream courses are one of our most popular and successful ways of preparing the next wave of real estate agents and brokers,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of real estate at Colibri Group, the parent company of Real Estate Express. “We offer aspiring real estate professionals a qualifying education option that includes real-time access to virtual instructors — real people you can ask questions and engage with; real instructors who are themselves experts in real estate.”

Real estate education has grown in popularity since the pandemic, and Texas currently has some of the most active real estate markets nationwide.

Livestream courses offer the flexibility and convenience of online learning, but with all the benefits of a live, interactive classroom. Available now in Texas, livestream courses are offered by Real Estate Express in several additional states.

In order to obtain a Sales Agent License in Texas, a prospective agent must take 180 hours of pre-licensing courses, available through Real Estate Express. Course requirements include: Principles of Real Estate I (30 hours), Principles of Real Estate II (30 hours), Law of Agency (30 hours), Law of Contracts (30 hours), Promulgated Contract Forms (30 hours), and Real Estate Finance (30 hours).

“While we’ve been teaching online real estate courses for over 25 years, we saw an opportunity last year to incorporate more of a real-time classroom into our educational approach and technology platform,” said Jim Gallagher, Colibri Group’s head of national brands. “Our pre-licensing real estate courses feature a variety of complex topics, and having a live instructor can make all the difference in whether a person understands the material presented.”

Livestream courses were first introduced by Real Estate Express in 2020 as a response to the effects of COVID-19 on in-person classrooms. The streaming concept is modeled, in part, after a webinar structure. Students can access each livestream class from their account dashboard with Real Estate Express. They can attend via computer or any device that has an internet connection, a webcam, speakers, and a microphone.

All pre-license courses are approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission. Additionally, Real Estate Express is accredited by ARELLO and IDECC.
