MOSCOW, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Sales of new cars in Russia fell
for the fifth consecutive month in November, down 20.4% year on
year to 125,466 units after a 18.1% drop in the previous month,
the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said on Monday.
Despite the falls, sales for the first 11 months of the year
were up 6.9% to 1,439,045, AEB said.
"Usually, December is a good month for car sales, but this
year is different and it also seems that this trend will
continue during the next year with even worse figures in the
coming months," Thomas Staertzel, Chairman of the AEB Automobile
Manufacturers Committee, said in a statement.
