Tech Down As Traders Hedge Ahead Of Earnings -- Tech Roundup

07/27/2021 | 05:17pm EDT

Shares of technology companies fell as traders hedged their bets ahead of "mega cap" earnings reports.

Shares of electric-car maker Tesla fell, as concerns about supply chain eclipsed its better-than-forecast earnings report.

Microsoft shares fell after hours as the software maker's revenue growth was not strong enough to alleviate concerns about supply-chain issues for its PC customers.

Shares of Apple rose slightly in late trading after its better-than-expected earnings.

Google parent Alphabet shares rose after it posted robust U.S. digital advertising sales.

Chinese Internet stocks continued a recent retreat, as they were anticipated to remain under financial pressure.

Cloud-infrastructure company Cloudflare revealed an effort to cut the internet's carbon footprint by eliminating its own carbon dioxide emissions and introducing tools to help its customers reduce theirs.
