Grisignano di Zocco, April 16th, 2021 - Adriatic LNG commitment to environmental sustainability continues in collaboration with WOWnature, an initiative by Etifor - a spin-off of the University of Padua - which aims at preserving and enhancing the biodiversity of the territory.

Yesterday afternoon saw the conclusion of the planting phase for over 800 new trees donated by Adriatic LNG to contribute to the reforestation of Treviso-Vicenza-Ostiglia cycle path, in the stretch of Grisignano di Zocco (province of Vicenza). On this occasion, the Company met WOWnature's specialists, the Mayor of Grisignano di Zocco and other partners of the initiative to plant together the last shrubs, as well as check the state of health of the first ones planted last December.

Periodically monitored and cared by WOWnature's specialists, dogwoods, maple trees, hornbeams, ash trees and lindens will make the cycle path even greener and lusher. This lane crosses the region along the historical abandoned Treviso-Ostiglia railway, a route included in the 'Green Tour' project, which is a network of more than 600 kilometers of bike tracks and pedestrian streets promoted by Veneto Region.

Furthermore, within the environmental projects launched by WOWnature and supported by Adriatic LNG, April 14 saw the beginning of the planting phase for the 300 new trees donated by the Company to support the creation of a food forest in Milan's Parco Nord. This area consists in a 10,000 square meters wood of fruit trees and shrubs good for men, accessible to anyone who wants to discover the cultivation of native species and the culinary usage of products such as fruits, berries, buds and flowers.

'Both the initiatives are part of the activities program that Adriatic LNG has been supporting for the development of the territory and local communities. Safety, environmental protection and strong commitment to sustainable development are indeed core values which guide our work every day' - stated Alfredo Balena, External Relations of Adriatic LNG.
