Yesterday, we learned that the Attorney General of the State of New York announced, at the end of a three-year investigation into the Trump Organization family group, proceedings against the former president of the United States and his children for tax fraud and false statements. It alleges misleading or "grossly inflated" asset valuations, claims 250 million dollars in reparations and that Donald, his daughter Ivanka, and his sons Donald Junior and Eric, should not be able to run commercial companies or borrow from licensed banks for five years.

Recall that the same organization is already facing a separate charge of tax fraud, and the group's former CFO has already pleaded guilty.

Earlier this week, he faced another setback in court. While he objected to the review of classified files seized from his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, the appeals court in charge of the case allowed the FBI to continue its review.

Last week, we related the difficulties of Truth Social, the social network launched by the former president. To the technical problems and the very low subscriber base came to be added the worries of financing the platform. Digital World Acquisition Corp, the SPAC that was to merge with the social network, did not manage to get enough support from shareholders to extend the agreement and conclude the transaction.

And things aren't any better when it comes to its political supporters. While some Republicans are turning their backs on their former leader, others are falling into the lap of the law. Mike Lindell, a Trump ally, is under federal investigation for identity theft and conspiring to damage a secure computer linked to an alleged security breach of voting equipment in Colorado.

Finally, in Georgia, a case involving fake voters and pressure from the politician on a senior official to "find" enough votes to overturn his loss to Biden in that state is on the table.

A tough homecoming, I tell you. Unsurprisingly, Trump denies all these accusations and formulates counter-attacks that he is well-known for: "witch hunt", "fake news", and others...
