Canadian stocks were flat at midday Thursday, with process industries stocks the major laggards so far in the session, while energy and tech stocks balanced the losses. Pyrogenesis Canada Inc. shares were down after the company said it didn't know why the shares had been trending downwards the past few days.

Canada's S&P/TSX Composite Index were down 0.04% at 21644.59 while the blue-chip S&P/TSX 60 shares were up 0.7% at 1304.04.

Pyrogenesis Canada Inc. shares were down 0.9% at C$4.65 after the company confirmed it remains on track with current and prospective projects, despite its share price falling in recent days, and that it would use the opportunity to buy up some of its own stock.

Other market movers:

Lion Electric Co. shares were down 3.3% at C$13.99 after announcing it received an order for 55 of its fully electric school buses from Quebec-based Autobus Seguin, which includes 45 LionA and 10 LionC models.
