Trackinsight: Worst ESG ETFs of the week: Education Tech and Digital Learning

07/29/2021 | 11:30am EDT

The main reason of this drop is the crackdown from Beijing regulators against educational training institutions.

The worst performer ESG ETF for last week and for both regions, Americas and Europe, is by far the Rize Education Tech and Digital Learning UCITS ETF with weekly return of -6.05%. The main reason of this drop is the crackdown from Beijing regulators against educational training institutions. Those institutions are banned from raising money through stock listings and from foreign capital investments. These new restrictions follow China’s political campaign against technology companies doing their business in Chinese territory.
