The U.K's Debt Management Agency sold 1 billion pounds ($1.22 billion) in November 2054-dated index-linked gilts at an auction on Tuesday, it said.
Tuesday's auction comes after a recent jump in long-dated gilt yields, taking the yield on the 30-year conventional gilt to its highest in 30 years. Real yields on index-linked gilts have also risen sharply.
The real yield at the auction came in at 2.126%. The index-linked gilt was last reopened via syndication on Nov. 26, 2024, resulting in a real yield of 1.5692%.
