Uganda's September coffee exports up 15.6% year on year - UCDA

KAMPALA (Reuters) - Uganda's coffee exports rose 15.6% last month compared to the same period a year ago, helped by strong output from recently-planted trees reaching maturity and higher global prices, the state-run industry regulator said in a report.

The east African country exported a total of 585,576 60-kg bags of coffee in September, up from 506,470 bags shipped in the same month last year, the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) said in a report seen by Reuters on Tuesday.
