Ukrainians fire at Russian positions near Bakhmut

STORY: Soldiers of the brigade set out on multiple missions each day with a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher pounding Russian positions across the frontline.

The city of Bakhmut has been the focus of unrelenting Russian attacks for months as Russia attempts to take control of the key roads leading north and west.

Russia is likely planning to encircle Bakhmut. The capture of the town itself would have limited operational value but it could potentially allow Russia to threaten Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, in the Donetsk region.
