Utilities Down Amid Sector Rotation -- Utilities Roundup

Shares of power producers fell sharply as investors rotated out of some of the leading sectors.

The utilities sector is sometimes used by investors as a safe haven, but, when anxiety is particularly high in markets, the group can decline with the broader stock market.

Florida utility NextEra sold $2 billion of equity units to Bank of America Securities and Barclays Capital.
