Vietnam December trade deficit $250 million vs $546 million surplus in November - customs

HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnam recorded a trade deficit of $250 million in December, swinging from a surplus of $546 million in November, government data released on Wednesday showed.

Exports in December rose 9.6% from November to $27.65 billion, while imports were up 13% to $27.90 billion, the Customs Department said in a statement.

For 2020, Vietnam's exports rose 7.0% to $282.655 billion, while imports were up 3.7% to $262.70 billion, translating into a trade surplus of $19.955 billion, the department said.
